The Hot Mom Section
One of my many accomplishments (and by far my biggest) from this past year is my weight loss. The last time my feet hit the scales, I had lost right around forty pounds in just under a year. Naturally I am thrilled by this as I worked very hard to get where I am.
There does seem to be one major catch to the size I am now. I am no longer in my twenties. As a thirty-two year old mother of three, finding clothing that fits is quite a challenge.
Juniors sizes fit me best. I generally wear a small or a size two. Here is the problem. A lot of junior styles are not practical for me. The jeans are either too low in the waist or skinny jeans. Many of the shirts are cute but either see through, covered in patterns bright enough to hurt my eyes, or cut to show major amounts of cleavage. Even the designs and saying on t-shirts are geared towards teenagers.
Women's or Misses sizes are another issues. I'm not my mother. I don't want waist bands up to my boobs or elastic in anything other than sweats and pajamas. Even if I did it wouldn't matter, none of them fit.
It begs the question, where is the hot mom section? I'm not holding on to my youth dressing like a teenager. I'm not a working business woman who needs suits and dresses for meetings. Instead, I'm lost in the middle trying to look like I feel-like a hot mom.
