Oh Happy Day

Today has been one of those truly good days. The kind where I just haven't stopped smiling or working for that matter. These are the days where I get to be the person I really am. There is no cloudiness of the world seeping in and weighing me down.

I awoke early, as I often do, wishing the night to last a bit longer. When I woke the princess in pink, she insisted she would not go to school today (clearly we were on the same page about nights being longer). She was much more receptive after a warm breakfast in bed and her cartoons before getting dressed. The morning went rather smooth for a school morning and I was able to drop her off a few minutes early.

These few extra minutes seemed to have given me a jump on the whole day. I was showered, worked out, and had the shopping done by ten. It gave me an actual full hour to write before I had to do house work. Even that went smoothly! The fact that I'm starting a blog before picking up the princess is a minor miracle in my world. But most importantly, I'm still thinking positively about the future.

When my whole life is on hold waiting on a court decision, it is often hard to remain positive about the future. Each day that there is no letter in the mailbox, is another day of waiting. And I can either let it get me down, or I can believe in my heart of hearts that the best will come of this and keep on going.
